If you’re one of the million or so football fans headed to superbowl, you might want to think twice about driving your car.
The transportation to superbowlV is this Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, but there will be nine days of activities leading up to the big day, including Super Bowl City and the NFL Experience at Moscone Center. Those events will cause temporary road closures and detours. Rolling detours will be in place on the southbound Embarcadero from Broadway onto Battery Street, across Market and into the Financial District and Bay Bridge approaches.

Howard Street will be closed between Third and Fourth streets in the Financial District. And the stadium itself will only have onsite parking, which costs $120 per car or $240 for a limousine or van. But there are other ways to get there. Local transit agencies have worked with the National Football League and organizers of the event to develop special services, schedules and fares to encourage use of public transportation. Valley Metro, for example, has added buses to many routes and will offer a Purple Shuttle directly to the stadium from various locations around town, including the Civic Center, the Public Library, Locust Street Garage and the Senior Center Garage in San Jose, as well as the Airport Spectrum and Hilton Los Angeles Airport parking garages in Inglewood. A shuttle pass costs $10. Also, the city’s light rail system will be running late.

Six Lightweight Jaguar E-Types
Jaguar’s E-Type is a thing of unsurpassed beauty. Its Sixties styling, with those famous curves, is still a stunner today. But it’s more than just a pretty car. Beneath those swoon-worthy lines hid refined race-bred mechanics that made the cars a genuine contender on the track.

The result was the Series 3 of E-Types, running until 1975. For this generation the short wheelbase FHC body style was dropped and the 3.8 litre XK engine was updated with a newer negative earth electrical system, an improved radiator and a five speed manual gearbox.

The Royaltv01 important aspect of a relay is the changeover. Runners must exchange the baton within the 20 m long changeover zone (preceded by an acceleration zone of 10 m). If runners do not hand off correctly in the changeover zone they are disqualified. This is why coaches must teach their teams to look back and put the baton in their teammate’s hand.
